About the Role
Magen Ephraim Sephardic Academy (MESA) is hiring a passionate, student-centered Elementary General Studies Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time, in-person position at our private Sephardic elementary school in Great Neck, NY, a warm, mission-driven community where educators are empowered to do their best work.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver differentiated, standards-aligned instruction in ELA, Math, and Social Studies
- Design engaging, inquiry-based lessons that develop critical thinkers and curious learners
- Use data-driven strategies to personalize learning and meet the needs of every student
- Integrate educational technology to enhance engagement and 21st-century skill-building
- Cultivate an inclusive, culturally responsive classroom rooted in empathy and respect
- Collaborate with colleagues in a supportive professional learning community
- Support the social-emotional development of students alongside academic growth
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
- NYS teaching certification (or eligibility)
- Experience with differentiated instruction in diverse elementary classrooms
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
- Growth mindset, positive attitude, and a collaborative spirit
- Proficiency with edtech tools and digital learning platforms
