Compensation: Up to $52,000 annually (part-time, commensurate with experience). Equivalent to approximately $45/hour, depending on experience and final schedule.
About South Fork Bakery for the Special Needs
South Fork Bakery is a nonprofit dedicated to creating meaningful employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. What began as a small community bakery has grown into a workforce development organization that trains, employs, and supports individuals in integrated jobs in the community, fostering independence, dignity, and long-term success. Our Launch job training program combines high-quality food production with job training and support, strengthening both individual lives and the broader community.
The Opportunity
South Fork Bakery is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Part-Time Office Manager to support the day-to-day administrative, financial, and operational needs of our growing nonprofit organization. This is an in-person role for a dependable professional who can manage multiple priorities, maintain effective systems, and serve as a central point of coordination for leadership, program staff, and external partners.
This position plays a critical role in keeping the organization running smoothly while leadership and program staff focus on mission delivery. It offers a rare opportunity for a creative, systems-minded professional to help shape how the organization will define its next chapter, with substantial input into the design and improvement of systems that will allow SFB to expand opportunities for program participants and strengthen our community’s economic and cultural fabric.
Key Responsibilities
Office & Administrative Management
- Manage day-to-day office operations, including supplies, equipment, files, and records
- Serve as a primary administrative point of contact for leadership, staff and external partners
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
- Support scheduling, calendars, and internal communications
- Coordinate with external bookkeepers and accountants
- Process invoices, reimbursements, and expense documentation
- Assist with time tracking and basic administrative HR functions
Development & Operations Support
- Provide administrative support for fundraising efforts, donor communications, and events
- Assist with data entry and record maintenance in donor or CRM systems
- Support operational projects and special initiatives as needed

You bring:
- Alignment with South Fork Bakery’s mission and values
- Prior experience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization (strongly preferred)
- 2-4 years of experience in office management, administration, or a related role
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- High level of comfort with technology, including Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and cloud-based tools
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and improve existing processes
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset
- Discretion, reliability, and the ability to manage priorities independently
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- A genuine interest in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work in person on the East End of Long Island (Sag Harbor)
- This is a local role; relocation assistance is not available
- Dependable, self-directed, and comfortable working independently
Compensation & Schedule
- Part-time position averaging approximately 20 hours per week
- Compensation up to $52,000 annually, equivalent to approximately $45/hour, depending on experience and final schedule
- Consistent, on-site presence required
