- Facilities Manager Live-out (Shelter Island) $180-$200K – A facilities manager, also known as a maintenance manager, is responsible for the upkeep of a company’s buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure they are safe and functional. (Housing provided if desired!)
- Their duties include:
- Building maintenance,Ensuring the building and basic facilities are well-maintained, and writing maintenance reports for areas like HVAC
- Safety and security, Preparing for emergencies, identifying and mitigating hazards, and implementing security protocols
- Emergency repairs, Scheduling repairs in a timely manner to resolve crises and minimize damage and inconvenience
- Preventative maintenance, Scheduling regular maintenance to increase the lifespan of systems and reduce the chance of unexpected failures
- Energy management, Implementing energy policies, raising awareness of energy saving, and monitoring energy use
- Budgeting and cost control, Developing and managing the facility’s budget, tracking expenses, and identifying areas for cost savings
- Other duties, Negotiating contracts with service providers, inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations, and coordinating renovations and updates
- Facilities managers may also supervise teams of staff across multiple divisions and ensure the facility operates smoothly on a daily basis.
